Gareth always had an insatiable desire to work in radio, from a very young age. Then one day, the dream was realised.
After a stint bringing Phil Wood his dinner on his local BBC radio programme, Gareth moved into BBC 6 Music/Radio 2 in 2005, whereupon he worked with the likes of Marc Riley & Mark Radcliffe, to name a few. This also coincided with a year at Xfm, mainly skulking about in the background editing and researching, as well as making the odd cup of coffee for Clint Boon!
2008 came, and having heard that fellow Mancunian cult jock, James H. Reeve was poised to present Saturday Sports on 96.2 The Revolution, Gareth was straight in there, working as his researcher and operating all the buttons and blinking lights.
He is a producer and deputy head of music at the station.
